Requirements / Qualifications
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED Application completely filled, no blanks. Record of Work Experience section must indicate the start and finish dates unless current employer. Reason for leaving and salary must be included. Letter of Introduction - Must be in reference to industry experience. Current Resume. Three (3) professional letters of recommendation must be from past or present managers/supervisors. Must be dated within the past year. Please note recommendation letters from co-workers, family, friends, or community leaders will not meet the requirements for professional recommendation letters. Copy of credential. Copies of college transcripts and/or high school diploma.
EXPERIENCE Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.
EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES Possession of a valid CA CTE - Designated Subjects Credential - Or - the ability to obtain a valid credential based on the Commission on Teacher Credentialing requirements. See the link on right for further credential information. Valid CA Driver's License.
