HVAC Instructor

Job description

Wichita Technical Institute is a provider of technical, “hands-on” training, is seeking a highly motivated Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Instructor. This position requires a strong knowledge of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology and at least 3 YEARS of experience in the HVAC field.

HVAC Instructor EssentialFunctions

• Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus provided
• Supervise independent or group projects, laboratory work or other training
• Advise students on academic and vocational concerns
• Maintain knowledge of relevant student certification testing to ensure class activities support testing needs in addition to needs in the workplace
• Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary

HVAC InstructorRequirements

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be student-focused and work well without close supervision
• Bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness
• Have a moderate level of computer and technology skills
• No previous teaching experience required
• Passion for helping other succeed on their educational jounery.

Job Type: Full-time

Position does have unique schedule:

Monday -Thursday 7:50am - 12:30pm then return at 5:30pm 10:30pm.

Four 10 hour days that are a split shift. But Fridays off giving a 3 day weekend.
