The Position:
As a Residential HVAC Lead Installer, you'll be responsible for leading a two-person installation crew and completing high-quality residential HVAC system replacements. You'll oversee every aspect of the installation—from removing existing equipment and preparing the jobsite to commissioning the new system and ensuring the homeowner is completely satisfied before leaving. This position requires technical expertise, leadership, and craftsmanship, as well as proven experience in:
- Leading residential HVAC replacement and installation projects
- Installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, thermostats, and accessories
- Safely removing/disposing of existing equipment
- Fabricating, modifying, and sealing ductwork as needed
- Verifying installations meet manufacturer specifications and local building codes
- Communicating professionally with homeowners throughout the installation
- Mentoring and directing an installation helper
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years installing residential HVAC units
- Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, refrigerant charging, and installation best practices
- Ability to read installation layouts and equipment specifications
- Excellent troubleshooting skills during installation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions
- Ability to lead an installation crew independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA Universal Certification/NATE Certification
- Experience with heat pumps, dual fuel systems, zoning systems, and IAQ products
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- ServiceTitan experience
