Job Description: The School District of Baraboo has an opening for a full-time, maintenance employee beginning approximately July 1, 2026. The regular schedule for this position is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position maintains the physical plant facilities in a condition of operating excellence and safety so that full educational use of them may be made at all times. This position oversees the installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing systems, as well as monitoring the systems routine operation, to assure that proper preventive maintenance is being performed according to established schedules. The starting compensation rate is $21.50 per hour, and is benefit eligible.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have knowledge of the materials, tools, and procedures used in performing a variety of woodworking, glazing, and roof repair tasks, BEST keying system knowledge, door and door hardware installation understanding of electronic locks; basic qualities and uses of woods and other related construction materials; building code requirements and the requirements of the State pertaining to school facility; construction, maintenance, and repair; and safe working methods and procedures. The ability to exert 75 to 100 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects with or without reasonable accommodation is required. The incumbent must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and must be insurable by the District's liability carrier.

 

District Description: The School District of Baraboo is an EC-12 grade district with a 4K program, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school with a total student population of 3,100 students.
