    Job Description Summary:

    This position is responsible for proper operation of mechanical systems and equipment. These systems are life support systems or essential utilities, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, critical and commercial refrigeration, special ventilation hoods, terminal and control equipment, pneumatic, automated building systems and direct digital controls.

    Job Description:

    Under the direct supervision of a Supervisor/Lead Mechanic, this position will provide a safe campus, including:

    • Monitors, trouble shoots and customizes the HVAC Energy Management System to optimize energy saving’s
    • Completes inspections and repairs of all mechanical and refrigeration equipment according to established procedures. Lowering equipment down time and repair cost utilizing a maintenance schedule
    • Completes required documentation in reference to all equipment, mechanical and refrigeration systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies

    Additional Job Description:

    Education:

    • High School diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
    • HVAC apprenticeship or 2 years associates degree (preferred)

    Experience:

    • 5 years commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration (required)
    • 10 years commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration (preferred)

    Licensure:

    • Current Valid Driver’s License must be maintained (required)
    • HVAC Journeyman (preferred)

    Certification:

    EPA Technician Certification (preferred)
