HVAC Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance requests while delivering excellent service to tenants. This role plays a key part in maintaining property functionality and ensuring tenant satisfaction by responding to issues promptly, resolving problems efficiently, and building positive relationships with residents or occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants by providing excellent service and clear communication
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing building systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance activities, and repairs
• Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are needed
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and tenant disruptions
• Support move-ins/move-outs by preparing units and addressing tenant concerns
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety policies and regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to effectively interact with tenants
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
