Job Summary

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

The HVAC Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment/systems. This position maintains the proper operations, temperatures, and safety of commercial HVAC equipment/systems.

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Minimum Qualifications

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Experience: Experience equivalent to four (4) years hands on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air‐conditioning systems and refrigeration systems at the appropriate license level or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the job.

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. Vocational/Technical school certification and apprenticeship preferred.

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Certification: Valid Oklahoma driver's license and a Mechanical Journeyman license or equivalent in Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Gas Fitting and be EPA 1 and 2 or EPA 3 (Universal) certified within sixty (60) days. Must obtain Boiler Operator license within six (6) months of hire.

• Installation, maintenance, and repair procedures for commercial heating and air-conditioning systems, including boilers and chillers

• Local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to HVAC systems

• Safety procedures and practices associated with HVAC maintenance work
