About the Opportunity:
Our client is currently seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic in Rutland, VT. This position offers Vacation, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, and a Pension Plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The selected candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain NATE Certification within six (6) months of employment. HVAC Mechanic (NATE Certified) hourly rate will be $43.26 per hour.

The HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on large commercial heating and air conditioning systems. This includes boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other HVAC and building systems. The role also requires a strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation and repair of complex equipment.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Universal EPA or CFC Certification required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with large commercial HVAC systems.
  • Technical training in HVAC is highly preferred.
