Working Hours:
Monday â Friday (anticipate 40 hours per week). Operating hours on-site are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday; Shifts will consist of an 8-hour shift during those hours. On-call support will be required on an occasional basis.
Required Qualifications:
⢠Must be a US citizen
⢠Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Full Scope Poly
⢠Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license;
⢠EPA Universal certification;
⢠High school diploma or equivalent;
⢠Must demonstrate proficiency with the following:
o Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC;
o Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 â Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems;
⢠Experience with CMMS is a plus but not required
Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic who is highly motivated, qualified, and experienced. Position required to maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia.
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
⢠Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment;
⢠Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems;
⢠Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures;
⢠Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.);
⢠Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities;
⢠Maintaining air and water treatment systems;
⢠Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks;
⢠Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams;
⢠Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System; and
⢠Other duties as assigned.
