HVAC Piping and Brazing Technician

About the opportunity

HJ Staffing is recruiting for a custom manufacturer of industrial HVAC equipment designed for hazardous locations. Production involves small batches and customer-specific builds rather than a traditional assembly line.

Fit and braze piping assemblies within custom industrial HVAC equipment. This position requires hands-on brazing experience, mechanical aptitude, and accurate measurement.

Responsibilities

• * Measure and fit piping or tubing to project requirements.
• * Prepare joints and perform brazing using approved procedures.
• * Follow the lead worker's instructions and applicable project drawings.
• * Inspect joint quality and report fitting or assembly concerns.
• * Follow torch and hot-work safety procedures and maintain an orderly work area.

• Required qualifications

• * Previous brazing experience is required.
• * Mechanical aptitude and ability to measure accurately.
• * Ability to fit piping or tubing and follow production instructions.

• Preferred qualifications

• * HVAC or refrigeration piping experience.

• •* Experience working with copper tubing.
