Office Location: Gaithersburg, MDFLSA Status: Exempt What you will do:Prepare HVAC Equipment and Controls Pricing EstimatesPrepare technical support for the Design and Construction Engineering Sales EngineerCreate equipment selections and manage Sales Engineer and consulting engineer's demand.Prepare engineering submittals including specification review, engineering drawings, and technical details for client approvals and perform process and design calculations.Organize and manage the submittal schedule and project deliverables to coordinate with project schedule.Review blueprints for coordination with trades and compliance with contract documents; expedite and approve submittals and shop drawings.Conduct complete and accurate quantity take-offs.Coordinate with vendors for equipment selections and pricingGenerate and distribute RFI's accordingly, including pricing into a change order if applicable.Maintain and manage CRM (Salesforce) database and project management software (Procore)Maintain a high skill level for all Trane and Vendor products as well as selection software programs used for preparing technical documents, including estimates and proposalsFamiliarity with Trane, non-Trane, and competitor equipment and Trane Controls is highly desirablePrepare comment/response forms, other forms as applicable, and equipment/controls changes as neededProvide pre and post-sale support to Sales TeamsProvide Turn-Overs for the Fulfillment TeamOther duties as assigned What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of HVAC systems, construction industry, familiar with blue prints and mechanical plans is preferredMinimum 1-4 years (combination of equipment selections and estimation knowledge) is preferredHVAC manufacturers' knowledge and Mechanical Equipment and/or Controls products knowledge is preferredProficient in MS Office and Outlook, and a CRM, strong math skillsExperience with Bluebeam software is preferredStrong communication and writing skills, self-starter, independent, quick learner, deadline-orientedProblem solver with attention to detail, team player, dependable, able to work with minimal supervision Physical Requirements:Sitting for extended periods of timeAbility to work in standard office environment We offer:Excellent pay and benefitsGreat and supportive work environmentProfessional training and growthGenerous educational assistance programRecognition and outstanding co-workers!
