HVAC Sales Estimator - HVAC - Base Salary to 80k/year - East Providence, RI

• Our client is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC professional for an HVAC Sales Estimator position supporting homeowners throughout the East Providence, RI area.
• This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of residential HVAC installation, service, or maintenance experience who are ready to transition into a consultative estimating and sales role. The position focuses on evaluating residential HVAC systems, performing site surveys, sizing replacement equipment, preparing accurate proposals, and selling residential HVAC replacement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with homeowners to evaluate existing residential HVAC, heating, cooling, oil-fired heating, and plumbing systems and recommend replacement or upgrade solutions.
• Perform residential site surveys, equipment evaluations, load calculations, system sizing, ductwork verification, electrical compatibility reviews, and estimate labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Prepare accurate residential HVAC replacement proposals and estimates.
• Present HVAC equipment options, explain energy efficiency features, system benefits, financing options, and project scope.
• Follow up on technician-generated leads, customer inquiries, and outstanding proposals.
• Coordinate with office staff, installation managers, and field technicians to ensure accurate job documentation and project readiness.
• Review project scopes for compliance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable local codes.
• Identify field conditions affecting installation and adjust estimates or material requirements as needed.
• Review project scope, installation timeline, and system operation with homeowners before and after installation.
• Collect final payments when applicable.
• Participate in a flexible consultation schedule, including occasional evening or weekend homeowner appointments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, or maintaining residential HVAC, heating, cooling, and oil-fired systems.
• Experience performing residential HVAC system diagnostics, equipment replacement recommendations, and system troubleshooting.
• Experience reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and installation documentation.
• Experience performing HVAC equipment sizing, load calculations, estimating, proposal preparation, or residential system evaluations.
• Knowledge of furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, ductwork, and residential mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel throughout the local service area to perform residential site evaluations, including access to basements, attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the local service area to perform residential site evaluations.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k - 80k/year range, plus uncapped commission/performance bonuses (Target OTE 120k - 150k/year)
