Job Description Job Description We are hiring a Residential HVAC Technician with a strong sales mindset. This position is for technicians who are confident diagnosing HVAC systems, explaining solutions to homeowners, and presenting repair and replacement options. This is not a parts-only role. Sales ability and customer communication are required.Primary Responsibilities• Diagnose residential HVAC systems including split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and air handlers• Perform HVAC repairs, replacements, and system upgrades• Identify system failures, safety issues, and efficiency concerns• Present repair, replacement, and upgrade options to homeowners• Confidently explain pricing and available financing options• Educate customers on comfort, efficiency, and system performance• Close approved work during the service visit• Maintain a professional appearance and customer-first attitudeSales & Customer Experience Expectations• Present multiple options rather than a single recommendation• Communicate clearly and confidently with homeowners• Build trust through education, not pressure• Handle price objections professionally• Meet performance goals related to close rate and customer satisfactionRequired Qualifications• Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC experience• EPA Certification (Universal preferred)• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record• Comfortable discussing pricing and recommendations• Strong communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently and manage service callsPreferred Qualifications• Experience in a commission-based or performance-based role• Prior exposure to HVAC system replacements• Comfort presenting financing options• IAQ sales experience including filters, UV lights, and duct improvementsCompensation & Benefits• Competitive hourly base pay based on experience• Commission on sold work• Performance bonuses and spiffs• Company vehicle, gas card, and uniforms provided• Paid training and ongoing development• Year-round residential workThis Role Is Not a Fit If• You dislike selling or discussing pricing• You prefer working without customer interaction• You are uncomfortable presenting options• You are not coachable or open to performance feedbackWhy Join Aire Serv of Houston MidtownWe operate a professional, structured, sales-driven service model.
