HVAC Service Technician
Pay: $23–$35 per hour + spiff and bonus opportunities
Position Overview
The HVAC Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality service by diagnosing issues efficiently, completing repairs accurately, and performing preventative maintenance to maximize system performance.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role also involves collaboration with team members to resolve complex issues and uphold the company’s standards for service excellence, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system performance checks
Respond promptly and professionally to service calls and customer concerns
Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, repairs, and maintenance recommendations
Collaborate with fellow technicians and team members to troubleshoot complex issues
Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities
Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Valid HVAC Technician certification or license
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
EPA certification for refrigerant handling
Experience servicing, repairing, and installing HVAC systems
Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
