Our client, a growing and reputable HVAC company, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service & Installation Manager to lead and develop their service and installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven HVAC professional who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership and coaching abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of HVAC industry experience, prior management experience, and a passion for developing technicians while driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, and departmental profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 7 HVAC service and installation technicians
  • Drive departmental performance through KPI tracking, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor productivity, efficiency, and profitability goals
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team meetings
  • Foster a positive, customer-focused culture centered on quality workmanship and professionalism

Training & Quality Assurance

  • Train and mentor technicians using the company's established business model, processes, and service standards
  • Ensure all service and installation calls are completed according to company quality expectations
  • Support ongoing technical and professional development for team members
  • Maintain consistency in customer experience, workmanship, safety, and documentation

Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Handle customer concerns and service escalations professionally and effectively
  • Serve as a technical resource for both customers and technicians
  • Assist with sales opportunities as needed, including identifying solutions and supporting customer recommendations
  • Help maintain strong customer relationships and high satisfaction levels

Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate daily service and installation operations
  • Monitor job progress, scheduling efficiency, and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience required
  • Previous management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC service, repair, maintenance, and installation practices
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate technicians
  • Experience managing KPI performance and department profitability
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to balance operational leadership with hands-on technical support

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based and indoor work environment
  • Occasional field visits to support technicians, answer technical questions, inspect jobs, and assist with customer concerns
  • Must be able and willing to travel to job sites as needed
