The Coeur d'Alene Resort is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Service Technician to keep our resort operating smoothly while leading a team of HVAC professionals. As a premier destination, our resort relies on a talented engineering department to maintain an exceptional environment for our guests.
About the Role
As the Lead HVAC Service Technician, you will oversee and mentor a team of HVAC technicians while ensuring all heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems operate at peak performance. You will coordinate and perform HVAC maintenance, repairs, and installations, all while enforcing safety and quality standards. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager, who reports to the Facilities Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and mentor HVAC technicians; assign tasks and provide guidance
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems throughout the resort
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues promptly and accurately
Ensure all team members follow safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and preventive maintenance schedules
Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and coordinate maintenance projects
Respond to urgent HVAC issues in a timely and efficient manner
Operate and maintain building automation and control systems
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Valid HVAC certifications and relevant licenses preferred
Ability to lead and mentor a team
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
