Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and oversees the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service group.
  • Develops and manages team of 8–15 service technicians.
  • Develops operating budgets for the division, including maintaining projected gross and net profits. 
  • Provides leadership in development of new markets in commercial and industrial areas of service and equipment changeout. 
  • Develops advertising schedule and promotional literature for presentations; executes advertising expenditures consistent with budgets; actively pursues service contracts.
  • Follows up on accounts receivable and overdue clients. 
  • Develops and implements training programs for division personnel. 
  • Interviews and hires new personnel, maintains updated employee files, and terminates employees; establishes wage rates and benefits. 
  • Monitors sufficient inventory and develops inventory control program. 
  • Initiates and reviews all completed work orders.
  • Initiates paperwork for returns of warranty parts?tag material and arrange shipping. 
  • Ensures all service contracts are being scheduled, maintained and properly performed. 
  • Provides assistance or direction for service technicians related to callbacks or highly difficult technical problems. 
  • Initiates, monitors and evaluates system regarding call?backs and customer satisfaction. 
  • Responsible for security and cleanliness of the service trucks and equipment. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong proven leadership experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC service industry.
  • Extensive HVAC service knowledge and proven ability to manage budgets, customer relationships, service contracts, and dispatching.
  • Strong communication, reporting and organizational skills.
