1 HVAC Service Technician Job Overview : As an HVAC Service Technician you will repair, perfo rm modifications and installations of various comp onents of HVAC systems as we ll as complete troubleshootin g and maintenance work . This role requires strong technical skills, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work independently . Focus Areas : Commercial HVAC service of all types of equipment. VRF, DX, split systems and rooftop package units, chillers, controls, boilers . Responsibilities: • Basic troubleshooting of both air and water- cooled HVAC equipment as well as PTAC unit s, water sourced heat pumps, and VRF systems . • Service, repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems . • Completing preventive maintenance of HVAC systems . • Performing work with a focus on providing professional customer service and interactions with our customers . • Respond to emergency service requests . Qualifications/Requirement s: • 5 years of experience servicing commercial HVAC work experience is strongly preferred. Less than 5 years will be considered. • Knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, and electronic control systems, welding/brazing and mechanical layouts. • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills . • Detail oriented with a focus on quality . • Excellent c ustomer service and communication skills . • EPA Universal Certification strongly preferred. • Texas TDLR Registration. • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast -paced environment. • Overtime availability when needed. • Current/valid driver license required. Driving a company vehicle. • OSHA 10 or other relevant safety certification is preferred. Work environment is field based . Must be able to work on ladders or rooftops to access equipment as needed. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in elevated areas. Requires walking, standing, climbing ladders, and working at varying heights and outdoor temperatures. Ability to squat, bend, climb, stoop and comfortably lift 75 lbs. Additional Requirement: Ability to pass a full background screening that includes a criminal background, drug test, driving record, and physical ability test.
