HVAC Service Technician

Duties

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and appliances using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure peak performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and schematics, ensuring proper operation and safety.
• Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues on-site, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime.
• Repair plumbing components associated with HVAC systems, including condensate drains and refrigerant lines.
• Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing, welding equipment for repairs, and other mechanical tools for equipment repair.
• Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with strong mechanical knowledge (min. 3 years).
• Familiarity with construction processes, schematics interpretation, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and HVAC/R systems.
• Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups and appliance repair skills is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving driver preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
