Position Summary


Calvey Heating & Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps.

Key Responsibilities


HVAC Service, Repair & Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, air conditioners, and furnaces.
  
  
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect equipment for potential issues.
  
  
• Troubleshoot heating, cooling, airflow, electrical, and control system problems.
  
  
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.
  
  

Customer Service & Communication

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial customers.
  
  
• Explain findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance needs clearly.
  
  
• Obtain customer approval before performing additional work.
  
  
• Respect customer property and maintain clean work areas.
  
  

Documentation & Field Coordination

• Maintain accurate service records, including repairs, parts used, and follow-up needs.
  
  
• Coordinate with dispatch and office personnel regarding scheduling and job progress.
  
  
• Follow safety procedures and maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience.
  
  
• Experience servicing residential and commercial HVAC systems.
  
  
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing heat pumps.
  
  
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems independently.
  
  
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  
  
• Dependable, organized, and able to work five days per week.
  
  
• Ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $30-$60 per hour, depending on experience.
