Salary Range: $22.00-$26.00 + commission (salary based on experience)

Job Summary

Childress Heating & Cooling is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. This role is ideal for a skilled technician looking for consistent work, competitive pay, and growth opportunities in a stable HVAC company.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC service, repair, and maintenance on residential systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including electrical and mechanical failures
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and tune-ups
• Provide customers with clear explanations of repairs and recommended solutions
• Ensure all work complies with HVAC safety standards and local codes
• Accurately document service calls, repairs, and parts used
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician, HVAC Installer, or HVAC Mechanic
• EPA Certification required
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Knowledge of heat pumps, AC systems, furnaces, and indoor air quality equipment
• Experience using HVAC diagnostic tools and service software
