HVAC Start-Up / New Construction Technician

AirCo Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing is looking for an experienced HVAC Start-Up / New Construction Technician to join our team in the DFW area.

This position is responsible for starting up newly installed residential HVAC systems, verifying proper operation, troubleshooting issues, and making sure systems are ready for the customer.

What You'll Do

• Start up and commission newly installed HVAC systems

• Test equipment and verify proper heating and cooling operation

• Check electrical connections, refrigerant levels, airflow, controls, and safety components

• Troubleshoot and correct installation issues

• Identify and complete punch-list items

• Communicate issues with installers, builders, and management

• Ensure installations meet company quality standards

• Complete required startup documentation and system checks

What We're Looking For

• HVAC experience, preferably in new construction, start-up, installation, or commissioning

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand HVAC controls

• EPA certification preferred

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Professional attitude and ability to work independently
