    HVAC Technician - Full TimeNotre Dame Health Care

    Campus-Wide Position 40 hours

    Notre Dame Health Care is seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Technician to join our Plant Operations team. This full-time position supports our entire campus, which includes Long-Term Care, Skilled Rehabilitation, and Assisted Living.

    The HVAC Technician will operate, maintain, and repair all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment across campus buildings. This includes the central heating plant utilizing steam and/or hot water systems, and the central chilled water plant providing cooling to all facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-regulated environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, pumps, fans, motors, and related equipment.

    • Prepare boilers for State inspections (cleaning, refractory work, seals, inspections).

    • Replace bearings, seals, and pump shafts; troubleshoot fan systems and motors.

    • Monitor and adjust system performance through Metasys and Auto-Flame systems.

    • Service, install, repair, and replace refrigeration systems (split systems, chiller packaged units).

    • Oversee and maintain cooling tower operations.

    • Use CMMS work order system to assign, track, and verify completion of HVAC-related tasks campus-wide.

    • Collaborate with outside vendors, engineers, and consultants on system upgrades and projects.

    Requirements

    • Must have a high school diploma or GED
    • Must have certification/license required in HVAC Mechanic role.
    • EPA Universal certification.
    • Must have 4-5 years' direct experience in HVAC and boiler operation and maintenance.
    • Must have entry-level training on Metasys building automation system and know how to utilize the control program for troubleshooting.
