Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing commercial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure peak efficiency and longevity.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks as needed.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data.
- Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction environments with a strong foundation in HVAC service technician roles.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, plumbing, and appliance repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Field service experience with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently on-site.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair including welding when required.
