    Description

    ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Journeyman Technician to join our team for the Kirtland Engineering and Operations Support (KEOS) contract at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. KEOS is a base maintenance contract (BMC), also known as a base operations support (BOS) contract.Job Summary:The HVAC Journeyman Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates various types of HVAC systems in support of mission-critical modernization and sustainment activities for our customers at Kirtland AFB. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.Duties and Responsibilities:

    Performs installation, repair, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.Performs minor controls repair or replacement. Replaces electrical motors, operators, etc.Performs work on commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems to include refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, de-humidification equipment, vacuum systems, and humidifiers.Assists in the de-scaling of equipment as required.

    Responds to customer service calls in a timely, and efficient manner, troubleshoots, and repairs as needed.Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements for time, material, emergency service, test, and inspect contractual agreements.Completes necessary documentation in accordance with the company's service guidelines.Communicates with central dispatch on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues daily following the service process.Performs periodic HVAC maintenance.Participates in an after-hours on-demand service program and assists in installation projects during non-utilized time.

    Perform other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

    Requirements:

    Minimum education level of high school diploma or GED equivalent.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in HVAC systems.Current State of New Mexico Journeyman Refrigeration (JR) CertificationCurrent Universal EPA Certification.Knowledge of various HVAC and controls principles and configurations.Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare daily reports.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.Have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers.Be able to read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.Be able to pass a drug screen.Be capable of performing work in a field environment requiring full range of motion and movement; be able to perform physical activities including climbing and working at heights greater than 50 feet, crawling, working outdoors, and repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working in Department of Defense or other government environment.
