HVAC Technician
Pay: $23–$30/hour, based on certification and experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Included in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
Job Description:
We are seeking HVAC Technicians to join our maintenance team, with openings at multiple experience levels. Responsibilities include the full scope of HVAC and general maintenance work, with the goal of significantly reducing reliance on third-party vendors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform HVAC heating and cooling diagnostics, repairs, and full system replacements
- Complete plumbing repairs and replacements, including water heaters, piping, fixtures, and related systems
- Complete general maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance, unit turns, and punch-out items
- Handle work orders, installations, and apartment turnovers
- Maintain cleanliness of the property alongside other maintenance and porter staff
- Maintain and use personal vehicle and tools to complete assigned tasks
- Lead-level candidates may also provide guidance and support to other maintenance staff
Pay & Experience Tiers:
- $23–$25/hour: HVAC experience required, certification not yet obtained. Company will cover certification costs, provided it is completed within 30 days of hire.
- $27/hour: Current HVAC certification and solid hands-on experience required.
- Up to $30/hour: Certified with extensive, proven HVAC experience and strong leadership ability; must demonstrate exceptional skill and reliability.
Requirements:
- HVAC experience required; certification preferred (or must be obtained within 30 days if not already held)
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems (water heaters, piping, fixtures)
- Must have reliable personal vehicle and own tools
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
