HVAC Technician I

HiFyve is hiring an HVAC Technician I in the Kansas City, MO area!

Starting Pay: $21- $28.48/hr (Depends on skills/experience)

Shift:

• Full-time - Days | Must be Flexible (hours will flex during peak season)
• Rotating on-call every other weekend for emergency service response

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver and install portable HVAC and climate control equipment at customer locations, main equipment will be gas fired heaters and package air conditioners.
• Train customers and authorized operators on the safe use of equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and climate control equipment
• Understand the operation, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment
• Install flexible gas hose for propane and natural gas applications
• Safely inspect and verify gas connections
• Clean, test, and inspect returned equipment to ensure proper operation and appearance
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups, installations, and service calls
• Maintain accurate equipment records, serial numbers, and rental tracking
• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers
• Safely operate company vehicles and follow all company safety procedures
• Support emergency service calls through a rotating on-call schedule
• Perform general shop duties and assist with equipment preparation and maintenance

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of HVAC experience preferred
• HVAC certificate preferred
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing climate control equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to safely work with propane and natural gas connections
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends during peak periods
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while following established safety procedures
