ABM is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician III to support commercial clients across the DFW Metroplex. This is a field-based, commercial service role focused on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems. Technicians are dispatched from home. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs and large packaged units
  • Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
  • Service large-tonnage equipment (100 plus tons preferred)
  • Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
  • Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards

Qualifications

  • 5–7 plus years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and PM/service background
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade training preferred)
  • Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
Preferred Experience
  • Large-tonnage equipment
  • Air-cooled chillers (any level)
  • Commercial or industrial refrigeration
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel throughout the DFW area
  • Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
  • Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required
