We maintain the highest standards of facility performance to ensure safe, comfortable, and efficient operations across all our restaurants.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our McDonalds franchise portfolio. This is an hourly position offering competitive pay and excellent benefits, including use of a company work van. The ideal candidate is a reliable professional who can manage multiple service calls daily, respond to emergency situations, and work collaboratively with restaurant leadership while reporting to senior operations management.Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Maintenance & RepairPerform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems across multiple McDonalds locationsEnsure all heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment operates efficiently and meets manufacturer and safety standardsRespond to emergency HVAC failures promptly to minimize restaurant downtime and maintain customer and employee comfortMaintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment documentationTravel & SchedulingTravel to multiple locations daily using the company-provided work vanWork a regular weekday schedule with weekend availability for emergencies onlyPlan and prioritize daily service routes efficiently to maximize productivityCollaboration & ReportingWork directly with two (2) Supervisors and General Managers (GMs) at each location to coordinate service needs and minimize operational disruption, as well as sharing information collected by our office staff, Office manager and secretary to monitor tasks and conduct follow ups. Report to and obtain authorization and guidance from the Director of Operations (DO) and Owner/Operators of the franchiseCommunicate equipment status, repair recommendations, and replacement needs clearly to leadershipCompliance & SafetyFollow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies while performing dutiesMaintain a clean driving record and operate the company vehicle responsiblyEnsure all work meets local codes and McDonalds facility standardsQualificationsRequiredValid HVAC certification and relevant technical training (EPA Section 608 certification required)Proven experience in commercial HVAC repair and maintenanceValid drivers license with a clean driving recordAbility to travel between multiple locations dailyWillingness to work weekdays and be on-call for weekend emergenciesAbility to pass a federal background check to obtain access credentials for operations within the U.S. Navy baseStrong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferredExperience servicing restaurant or food service environmentsFamiliarity with McDonalds equipment or QSR facility standardsPrior experience working on federal or military installationsKnowledge of refrigeration systems (a plus)What We OfferCompetitive hourly payExcellent benefits packageCompany-provided work van for travel between locationsOpportunity to work with a stable, growing franchise organizationSupportive leadership team with clear reporting structureWork EnvironmentThis role involves daily travel between restaurant locations, including a site operating within a U.S. Navy base.
