HVAC Technician

Job Overview

Lake Geneva’s premier heating, cooling, plumbing and electric contractor, Peck and Weis is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time HVAC Service Technician. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Service Technician that is looking to improve and excel in this fast-paced field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, including experience with residential, light commercial including hydronic systems. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and service of HVAC equipment in various settings, ensuring optimal performance while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces and hydronic systems.
• Capable of using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure that our customers’ HVAC systems work as efficiently as possible.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Provide service and support to clients, addressing their HVAC needs promptly and professionally.
• Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working on HVAC systems to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to service and maintain HVAC systems effectively.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems, boilers and furnaces.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Working outdoors at times, climbing ladders, heavy lifting.
• 40 to 50 hours per week may need to work extra hours during on-call shifts or to complete repairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
