Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour - $40 per hour Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6 Months
Summary:
Maintain, repair, and optimize HVAC systems and associated equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Conduct brazing, soldering, welding, pipefitting, and fabrication.
Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and service motors, pumps, compressors, ducts, and controls.
Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and training requirements.
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License.
Minimum 3 years of related HVAC/Electrical maintenance and repair experience in a commercial facility.
Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Availability to work day or night shift including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Experience in airport operations.
Understanding of Johnson Control Systems.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircraft and confined areas of baggage conveyor systems.
Specific vision abilities required include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Good hand-eye coordination is required.
Work Environment:
The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Work on an airport ramp around aircraft and heavy equipment.
