HVAC Technician

We are a 57-year-old family-operated HVAC company that specializes in sales, service, installation, and maintenance of both residential and commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.

We have an immediate need for Top Residential/Light Commercial HVAC Installation Technicians and Service Technicians with a minimum of 5 years experience in all phases of installation and troubleshooting and repairing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This position offers top level pay and benefits to those qualified.

Install Tech Key Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including:
• -- Split central AC systems
• -- Heat Pumps and furnaces
• -- Ductless mini-splits
• -- Package RTU
• -- Boilers and HWH
• Perform refrigerant piping and charging, electrical wiring, gas piping, IAQ accessories
• Lead and mentor junior technicians when assigned - getting your own work done while also overseeing them will be vital
• Be on time and reliable, your team will be counting on you
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process
• Present yourself in a clean and neat appearance
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Service Tech Key Responsibilities:

• Complete HVAC service calls for residential and commercial customers. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Know how to establish customer rapport to educate customers on the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best maintenance plans, repairs, or system replacements.
• Be professional and knowledgeable to gain new referrals and repeat business.
• Work alongside customer service representatives and dispatch team members
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, and options sheets.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years HVAC experience, with strong emphasis on residential and light commercial installation and/or service
• Strong installation experience preferred in split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini-splits, package RTUs, boilers, and water heaters
• Working knowledge of refrigerant piping, evacuation, charging, electrical wiring, gas piping, and system start-up
• Ability to perform both installation and service troubleshooting/repairs
• Experience with ductwork installation, system layout, and equipment replacement is a plus
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, wiring (high and low voltage), and system diagnostics
• Ability to read and interpret installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and service schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both install and service work
• Ability to support or lead installation projects and assist junior technicians when needed
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and perform physical field work
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have own hand tools suitable for HVAC installation and service work
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to complete work accurately and efficiently
• Strong communication and customer service skills in both install and service settings
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Available for overtime, occasional Saturdays, and rotating emergency on-call schedule
• EPA Certification required
• NATE Certification is a plus
