HVAC Technician

The Physical Plant at Milligan University invites applications for the full-time position of HVAC Technician with an anticipated start date after June 1, 2026. Reporting to the Service Manager - Maintenance, this position serves as the primary point of contact for Milligan's HVAC systems, cooler and freezer systems, and boiler room operation and maintenance. Activities include troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, minor replacements & repairs, execution of a quality upkeep and PM maintenance schedule, and serving as a liaison to outside HVAC companies for larger jobs.
Qualifications: Successful candidates should have a High School Diploma, a 2 Year Technical degree in HVAC Maintenance or equivalent experience, an EPA Section 608 certification for handling of refrigerants, and 2-3 years' experience is beneficial. Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Milligan's mission as a Christian liberal arts university. Primary duties and responsibilities would be performed during a normal 40-hour work week. However, some emergency call-in responsibilities will be necessary. The job duties require some physical exertion and may require the lifting of 50 lb. loads on occasion. A valid Tennessee driver's license is required.
