HVAC Technician

Job Description:

Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems in district facilities.

Start Date: August, 2026

Duty Days: 226

Salary Range: (Based on 2026-2027 Compensation Plan)

Midpoint: $34.00/hour

Salary Commensurate with Related Experience

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent;

Valid Texas Driver''s License;

Universal EPA Certification

Communicate professionally and work cooperatively as a team member

Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material

Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Ability to diagnose and resolve problems

Ability to operate hand and power tools

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)

Experience:

Five years experience in commercial HVAC field

Preferred experience:

Chiller & Boiler maintenance and repair

Pump motors; vertical/horizontal 3-30hp
