We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our client’s maintenance team in Pendleton, SC. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems and related equipment throughout the facility. The HVAC Technician will support all departments as assigned and play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and related equipment, including:
    • HVAC units
    • Air handlers
    • Air washers
    • Chillers
    • Panel AC units
    • Exhaust fans
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues across the plant.
  • Support maintenance projects and equipment installations as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of spare HVAC equipment and replacement parts.
  • Coordinate with contractors during installations, repairs, and major maintenance activities.
  • Maintain required regulatory documentation, including preventive maintenance records and refrigerant logs.
  • Apply root cause analysis techniques to identify and prevent recurring equipment failures.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong discipline and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of HVAC system functions and operation.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits and control systems.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of general safety procedures, PPE requirements, and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Experience with documentation, preventive maintenance programs, and root cause analysis (5 Why methodology).
  • Ability to organize and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Ability to learn and use computerized maintenance or MES systems.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, power tuggers, and hoists (or willingness to become certified).
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to hear equipment operating in the work environment.
  • Ability to see clearly and perform required job functions safely.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm
Must be available to work overtime, other shifts as needed, and respond to emergency call-ins.Pay Level
Compensation is based on previous work experience, skills, and knowledge. #IND3
