POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a substitute HVAC technician position in our Maintenance and Operations department. The HVAC technician, under immediate supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance and Operations, performs advanced-level work to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, balance, and perform analysis on all types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment systems; designs and applications; programs automated control systems; plans, estimates, and commissions new installations or renovations of HVAC equipment; and performs installation, repair, assembly, and maintenance of water, sewage, drainage, air, gas, and vacuum systems and related equipment and facilities. This career opportunity is a substitute on-call position, working hours from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience: Any combination equivalent to two (2) years of experience in performing journey-level heating and air conditioning mechanics. Knowledge of: Methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment and plumbing systems; laws, ordinances and regulations regarding air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilating equipment, and plumbing systems. Licenses/Other: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver s License and insurability to drive a District vehicle as part of the District's Pull Notice program is required. EPA Technician Certificate is required. * A copy of the recent (less than one month old from the recruitment closing date) A DMV online driver record is required.
