Paladin Consulting is currently hiring an HVAC Technician to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Tucson, AZ.

Job Title: HVAC Technician
Work Location: Tucson, AZ
Duration: Long-term contract with option to hire

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Education/Experience Required: High school or equivalent; trade school preferred

Job Description:

As a HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Candidate will be working in an industrial park
    • Mainly office building
    • Warehouses
    • Laboratories
  • Candidate will be working with a team, but will have individual work orders to fulfill
Responsibilities :
  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Resource's typical working day:
  • Small operations meeting
  • Daily work order assignments
  • Gathering tools and parts
  • Preventative/Corrective maintenance tasks
Skills & Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • EPA license not required but nice to have
Must Have Skills:
  • HVAC maintenance experience
