HVACR Lab Instructor & Skills Coach
Picture your day: you arrive to a modern training lab, power up the simulators, and set out gauges for a hands-on demo. Students gather, curious and motivated. You walk them through diagnostics, then coach them as they troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair. By afternoon, you’re mentoring a project team, helping them connect classroom theory to real equipment. When the lab closes, you know you’ve moved someone closer to a career.

What you’ll do
- Inspire and educate: Build an engaging, inclusive learning space where aspiring technicians thrive.
- Lead hands-on training: Demonstrate diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on heating and cooling systems and components; supervise safe, real-world practice.
- Shape curriculum: Collaborate to refine courses and introduce updates aligned with current HVACR technology and trends.
- Mentor projects: Coach students to think critically, solve problems, and present their work professionally.
- Champion safety: Model and enforce safety protocols and best practices at all times.
What you’ll bring
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 4 years of practical HVACR work within the last 10 years.
- Certifications: EPA 608/Universal is highly valued.
- Communication: Clear, patient, and professional communication with students and teammates.
- Teaching mindset: Patience and empathy for different learning speeds and styles.
Pay and benefits
- Compensation: $34 - $36 per hour
- Schedule: Weekends OFF
- Training: Paid instructor training—no prior teaching experience required
- Tuition Waiver: After 6 months, tuition waiver for you and your immediate family at UTI and Concorde campuses
