HVACR Service Technician

Essential Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair HVACR equipment.
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration units.
• Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs corrected malfunctions.
• Diagnose refrigeration malfunctions.

Education & Training

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Universal certification, required

• Working knowledge of the following:

• AC/DC electrical refrigeration/HVAC equipment components

• Large refrigeration equipment

• Rack systems and associated condensers and evaporator configurations

• Cold storage buildings

• Walk-ins

• Small refrigeration equipment

• Ice machines

• Reach-ins

• Commercial refrigerators

• Primary heating & cooling HVAC equipment

• Boilers

• Chillers

• Heat exchangers

• Towers

• Equipment troubleshooting, maintenance tasking, and installation requirements

• Secondary heating & cooling HVAC equipment

• AHU's pumps

• Fan coils

• Water source heat pumps

• Equipment troubleshooting, maintenance tasking, and installation requirements
