We are seeking an IT&E RF Engineer to join our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Center of Excellence (COE) team in sunny Orlando. The successful candidate will design, calibrate, troubleshoot, operate and maintain advanced RF HWIL systems, subsystems and components, design RF circuits, perform signal integrity measurements, analyze real‑time simulation output, and manage repair and replacement of RF subsystem components.What You Will Be DoingOperate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced RF Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, subsystems, and components (couplers, attenuators, phase shifters, mixers, filters, isolators, etc.)Design RF circuits including upconverters, downconverters, local oscillator distribution networks, etc.Perform signal integrity measurements using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopesAnalyze real-time, closed‑loop HWIL simulation output and troubleshoot system performance deficienciesPerform quick‑look analysis and data reduction of HWIL simulation output dataManage the repair and/or replacement of RF subsystem components (couplers, attenuators, phase shifters, mixers, filters, isolators, etc.)Why Join UsWe are committed to supporting your work‑life balance and overall well‑being, offering flexible scheduling options. Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Active Secret Security Clearance with a current 5‑year investigation.5+ years of progressive experience in RF design, test, and integration, with a proven record of delivering HWIL or similar high‑fidelity test solutions.Deep expertise operating and interpreting data from advanced RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, mixed‑signal oscilloscopes).Demonstrated experience integrating RF circuits at microwave frequencies, including LO distribution and frequency conversion architectures.Desired SkillsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Extensive experience with real‑time, closed‑loop RF HWIL simulators.In‑depth knowledge of GPS/GNSS simulators (e.g., Spirent, BroadSim) and their integration into HWIL environments.Experience working with cross‑functional teams, delivering technical presentations, and authoring technical reports for senior leadership.Security Clearance StatementThis position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.Work SchedulesLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from a standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to paid time off benefits.
