The company's culture emphasizes genuine partnerships and long-term relationships within the fitness community.We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Accountant to support the full accounts payable cycle and assist with month-end accounting activities. This role is responsible for managing invoices from receipt through payment, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with vendors and internal business partners to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role will report into the NYC about once a week.Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.Process invoices accurately and maintain accounts payable records within QuickBooks.Prepare and distribute weekly accounts payable aging reports.Review vendor statements and partner with vendors to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.Review landlord invoices and compile monthly rent schedules.Maintain bank integrations and ensure proper coding of transactions.Reconcile and code corporate credit card transactions.Follow up with cardholders regarding missing receipts or uncoded transactions.Analyze invoice and payment variances and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues.Assist with recordkeeping, document management, and other administrative tasks.Support monthly close activities, including accrual entries and exporting financial information.Participate in special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required.Experience working with multi-unit businesses is preferred.Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.Skills and QualificationsExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach to work.Eligible employees may participate in the Company's comprehensive benefits programs, which may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and other company-sponsored benefits.We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
