Hybrid Senior Accountant - Tax

Kforce has a client in the Ocean, NJ area that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. This is an amazing opportunity in public accounting for a boutique accounting Firm with a great team culture and succession plan for growth. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120-S
• Review client records, identify missing information, and resolve tax preparation questions
• Perform tax research and assist with planning and client inquiries
• Coordinate with team members to meet filing deadlines and maintain accurate workpapers
• Communicate with clients about their returns and outstanding items

Requirements:

• CPA/EA or progress toward certification is a plus, not mandatory
• The ideal candidate is coming directly from a public accounting firm and has roughly 3-5 years of tax experience
• Strong hands-on 1040/individual return preparation
• Ancillary experience: Partnership 1065, S-Corp 1120-S, C-Corp experience is valuable; Estate & trust experience is valuable
• Federal and NJ taxation experience
• Ability to work increasingly independently
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients
• Able to identify missing information, resolve preparation questions and keep engagements moving
• UltraTax, Canopy and QuickBooks experience are positives
• Open to OT
• Open to being in office hybrid
