Job Requirements.
  • EducationRequirements: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or Communication Sciences and Disorders) from an accredited program; completion of supervised clinical practicum.
  • CertificationsRequirements: Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain); ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility (depending on facility requirements); maintain all required state/facility credentials.
  • ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting; experience with school-based IEP/SLP services preferred.
  • OtherRequirements: Must meet “Standard Requirements” as outlined by the facility; ability to work Days / 37.5 hours per week; comfort with a school setting and student populations; strong communication and collaboration with educators, families, and care teams; documentation skills to support compliance and IEP-related workflows; professionalism and reliability; background check and any required onboarding screenings per facility policy.

JobResponsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy services in a school setting to support student communication needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals/objectives, supporting interdisciplinary teamwork and progress documentation.
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure carryover in educational environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, session notes, and assessment/IEP-related records in accordance with school and facility standards.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary coordination as required by the assignment and facility schedule.
