Job Description
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our dedicated Target team. In this role, you will bridge high-level sales strategy with end-to-end operational execution. You won't just react to supply chain and inventory trends you will analyze POS data, protect in-stock metrics, and collaborate directly with brands, internal leadership, and Target merchant teams to drive scalable growth. - Drive Supply Chain & Inventory Strategy: Partner with VP of Sales to help grow the business by improving inventory and supply chain
- End-to-End Account Execution: Collaborate with brands/manufacturers and Target's teams to ensure execution of product from item inception through supply chain
- Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve demand planning, instocks, OOS
- Fulfillment & PO Tracking: Help business partners track PO's and guarantee on time shipping
- System & Data Maintenance: Maintain our internal system for items, orders, and invoices
- Financial & Compliance: Investigate and resolve vendor chargeback and accounts payable issues
- Analytical and Data-Driven: You are comfortable navigating across a swatch of metrics and extracting the insights
- Resourceful Problem Solver: You leverage your knowledge, experiences, and resources to find a solution no matter what challenges arise
- Team Player: Willing to pitch in and help wherever it is needed. You are as comfortable in a high-level executive meeting as you are unpacking boxes of product samples
- Detail-Obsessed: High level of attention to detail, data integrity and quality
- Growth minded: You thrive in performance-focused teams and feel energized by driving business impact
- 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager, Analyst, Buyer, Demand Planner, Merchandiser or equivalent role within a retail environment.
- Logistics Acumen: Solid understanding of vendor compliance, inventory management, supply chain and retail logistics workflows.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
- Retail Expertise: Direct experience working at or with Target Headquarters is strongly preferred.
