Hydraulic and Electromechanical Crane Service Specialist

What you will do

  • Operate and rigorously inspect cranes to identify faults.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and electronic subsystems.
  • Check parts for damage/wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • Interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to plan repairs.
  • Test repairs and modifications to confirm compliance with OEM specifications.
  • Stage jobs by validating parts and drawings.
  • Perform accurate annual inspections.
  • Complete documentation: work reports, time sheets, hour overviews, and expense reports.
  • Deliver attentive, professional customer service.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

Do you have the following?

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years as a Mechanic/Technician.
  • Experience with Grove RT & TMS, Grove GMK (European), Manitowoc EPIC/Traditional, and National boom trucks (preferred).
  • Fluency in electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Clear communication and customer-centric approach.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Full set of personal hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

  • Follow all safety procedures and rules.
  • Engage in safety training; demonstrate competence.
  • Report or correct unsafe acts and conditions.

Work schedule and environment

  • Full-time; typical hours 7:00 am–6:00 pm with potential overtime and weekend work based on business needs.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, varying weather, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, odors, and loud noise.
  • Physical activity may include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision needs: close, distance, color, peripheral; depth perception; ability to adjust focus.

Compensation and perks

  • Pay range: $29.00–$40.00 per hour for non-bargaining employees (based on skills/qualifications).
  • Bi-weekly pay, 14-day periods running Monday through Sunday.
  • $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service.
  • Tool Reimbursement Program up to $1,500 per calendar year.
