JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for assembling, wiring, and plumbing new and used equipment.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the construction industry. 
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Attention to details.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Must be able to follow all PPE requirements.
  • Use of power and hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install freshly painted components onto equipment per engineering drawings.
  • Wire trailer electrical systems including lights and brakes.
  • Plumb pneumatic brake systems on larger units.
  • Install hydraulic components and plumb hydraulic circuits per engineering drawings.
  • Install electronic components and wire electronic circuits per engineering drawings.
  • Set pressures on hydraulic circuits and verify parameters for electronic systems.
  • Perform system operation checks and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Operate equipment to test functionality and spool rope/cable onto reels when applicable.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Wash units after final inspection.
  • Assist in maintenance of rental fleet when necessary.
  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules.
  • Keep the tools and work area clean and organized.
  • Keep the supervisor aware of parts and inventory used so they may be replaced.
  • Complete applicable maintenance forms and records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
