GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE: The Hydraulic Technician is a skilled technical role responsible for building, testing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and producing hydraulic components using machinery. This position requires expertise in fluid power systems and the ability to operate equipment to manufacture high-quality parts. The Hydraulic Technician ensures systems meet exact specifications and supports production through both system knowledge and machining capability.

Essential Functions:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Build, test, and calibrate hydraulic systems to meet pressure, flow, and performance specifications.

•Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical knowledge.

•Operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce or modify hydraulic components and fittings.

•Read and interpret hydraulic drawings, technical blueprints, and machining instructions.

•Assemble hoses, fittings, and lines according to proper procedures.

•Perform system pressure checks, flushes, and leak tests.

•Ensure all parts meet quality standards and dimensional accuracy.

•Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

  • $37,500-$41,600 ($18-20/hr)

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with hydraulic systems is preferred.

•Experience operating lathes, mills, or CNC machines is strongly preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

The successful candidate should:

•Knowledge of hydraulic theory, components a plus, training available.

•Be able to operate machines and measure parts to tight tolerances.

•Read and understand hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and machining diagrams.

•Possess strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

•Be detail-oriented with a commitment to producing quality parts.

•Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) accurately.

•Work independently and manage time effectively.

•Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Thursday (Four ten-hour days)
  • Weekends as needed
