If so, you’ll thrive maintaining and repairing our fleet trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
Your Mission
- Keep loaders, skid steers, excavators, manlifts, and fleet trucks work-ready through expert troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform PM1–PM5 services and comprehensive inspections; document results precisely in work orders.
- Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using OEM software, Caterpillar ET, Snap-On diagnostics, and multimeters.
- Repair/replace brakes, hydraulic hoses, clutches, AC systems, alternators, and water pumps.
- Service hydraulic systems—pumps, cylinders, valves, and flow components—with accuracy.
- Install GPS units, lighting systems, and electrical components to manufacturer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment safely to support maintenance activities.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, hot work, confined space, and OSHA procedures with zero compromise.
- Organize shop tools, spare parts, and equipment to ensure rapid response.
- Respond to field service calls; coordinate seamlessly with Foremen, Dispatch, and Operators.
- Record repair notes, parts usage, and labor time accurately in Equipment360 or designated systems.
- Partner with vendors for parts orders, returns, and warranty support.
- Assist with other assignments as business priorities evolve.
What Sets You Up for Success
- 3–7 years of heavy equipment/fleet repair experience or comparable technical training.
- Proven strength across diesel engines plus hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Fluency with OEM software, Caterpillar ET, Snap-On, and multimeters.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
- Safety-focused, adaptable, and effective both independently and on a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Shop and outdoor work in all seasons—heat, cold, rain, and harsh conditions. Expect standing, bending, kneeling, and occasional confined or awkward positions for extended periods. Regular lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, fuels, lubricants, and shop chemicals.
