PALFINGER is hiring two experienced, remote technicians based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you’ll keep our customers’ articulating cranes, truck‑mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers performing at their peak—where it matters most: in the field.

What you’ll do
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on customer sites.
- Execute quarterly preventive maintenance, Annual DOT inspections, and warranty work.
- Respond to emergency/unscheduled service needs during and outside normal hours.
- Translate technical findings for job‑site and fleet managers in clear, practical terms.
- Own meticulous documentation: estimates, authorizations, parts orders/records, labor tracking, and inventory logs.
- Adhere to state and federal safety regulations; maintain a clean company vehicle, equipment, and workspace.
Must‑haves
- Proven expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; strong diagnostics and welding.
- Field‑ready stamina in all weather; ability to sit/stand/bend/squat/crouch/reach and lift 75+ lbs for extended periods.
- 3+ years’ mechanical experience or training—ideally with articulating cranes and forklifts.
- English proficiency (read/write/speak).
- Valid CDL—or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
- Personal tool set (PALFINGER supplies proprietary tools).
Compensation & benefits
- $45–$54 per hour, depending on experience.
