Shape customer outcomes as our Hydraulic Systems Inside Sales Consultant

At FORCE America, Inc. (100% employee‑owned; serving on- and off-highway mobile markets for 70+ years), you’ll be the trusted point person for customers who rely on our hydraulic and mechanical systems. From our on-site location in Savage, MN, you’ll field inquiries, prepare quotes, coordinate with our Outside Sales teammates, and offer first-line technical guidance that keeps customers moving.

A day in the role

You start by reviewing overnight requests, prioritizing urgent pricing and availability checks. You jump into our ERP to enter component and sub-assembly quotes, pick up overflow calls on common product lines, and provide updates on order status. Midday, you troubleshoot a basic system question, collaborate with an Outside Sales partner on a dedicated account’s service needs, and negotiate to maintain healthy margins. You wrap by documenting follow-ups and supporting small research projects for the Inside Sales II/III team.

What you’ll do

  • Serve a designated customer base with accurate pricing, availability, and order status updates.
  • Handle overflow inquiries on common product lines, current orders, escalation needs, and part availability.
  • Enter components and sub-assemblies for sales orders and quotations in our ERP.
  • Deliver administrative support: manage email/fax correspondence and issue return authorizations.
  • Protect profitability by meeting or exceeding minimum margin expectations.
  • Complete component pricing/availability lookups swiftly and accurately.
  • Assist Inside Sales II/III and Outside Sales with research, small projects, and pricing tasks.
  • Coordinate closely with Outside Sales to meet service needs for a dedicated customer base.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED (required); 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Clear, confident communication—written and verbal—primarily over the phone.
  • Strong urgency, prioritization, and follow-through to meet customer expectations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and patience in complex or time-sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and familiarity with FORCE America’s ERP.
